I just got a call and it was a message saying, "This is not a sales company, this is important business matter, please contact us at 1 800 ..... Should I call or is it just stupid that they didn't speak to me in person but rather have a machine telling me to do this? Is it a sales call? Appreciate your help ! =)

Its a scam
NEVER EVER return calls for such vague messages that are left on voice mail.
If it is someone who really needs to talk to you believe me they will call again.
Alot of times companies are set up so that as soon as you dial their number you incur charges on your phone bill.
Beware!!
I have gotten messages like this in the past and just delete them.

It's either a telemarketer or a bill collector. I NEVER respond to recorded messages, especially from 800 numbers.

You don't have to call anyone you don't know. Also if it is a bill collector and you answer then just tell them over the phone that you don't want them to call anymore. Tell them that if they want to conduct any business with you then to send mail to you. If they don't already have the address then hang up.

It most definitely is a sales call. Anytime something is computer generated they are just fishing for information.

If its important they will call back with more info. otherwise if you don't own a business then forget about it.
