well do you want to have a good 'ol time or get to slowdance and be pretty and formal and have a real date? its one or the other...you decide that. if you think the cute guy will say yes, then there is your answer. if not, invite the guy friend.

Do you want to date your best guy friend?
If its a rather formal type of dance.. take a chance.. ask the cute guy!!!
Remember though if you ask the guy friend... there will be some awkward moments when neither of you knows if its a date-date or a friend-date. for example... end of date kiss? cheek? lips? hand? *shudder* too many questions!!!!!

it depends, but i would ask my best friend because that would ensure that you are going to have fun. who knows, the cute guy might be really boring, but with a best friend you can always have a good time.
