I am plus size and just bought new clothes for work. Mostly pants/blouses, etc. I would like hints on accessorizing the outfits to make them look more businesslike

If you could post pictures of the outfits, that would help with the recommendations. Pearls, while very classy and traditional, don't work with every outfit and, you want to mix things up a bit by having a variety of accessories...things that make you feel GLAMOROUS!! Lay the clothes out on your bed or hang them up somewhere so we can see the options and give you some ideas. Also, the advice on a nice haircut and wearing makeup is VERY TRUE!! If someone hasn't complimented you in the last 30 days on your haircut/color, then it's time for a new do.
Makeup is a must!! It shows others you respect your appearance, your womanhood, as well as the company you are working for because you are looking your best EVERY DAY in EVERY WAY!!
I have virtual makeovers online that can help you with application tips and techniques AND give you a variety of "looks" to choose from so you will be coordinated from head to toe!
I look forward to seeing the pictures of the outfits so we can get you ACCESSORIZED. You sound like such a beautiful woman, we'll help you BEAM that beauty inside and out -- with confidence, poise, and integrity. That office won't know what hit 'em!!!!

Nice solid belt (brown & black) is a staple. Clean buckle. Not too brassy.

Earrings. Little dangle is okay. Not chandelier type. Better with stud earrings, but if you want to have the silhouette of a longer neck, then a little dangle is okay.

Necklace with a medium size pendant. Right now beaded chains draped around the neck twice.

A watch that is again not too glittery or teeny bopperish.

Pumps with at least a 2 inch heel is reccommended.

Light eye makeup. Softer eyeliner like brown/taupe for a day look.

Neutral lip color mixed with a little dark to have more depth in the lips. Or color with a little gloss to have a simpler look

Light mascara is also nice.

Some people have broach pins on their blazer lapels. Usually older women employ this tip.

Remember: Clothes do not make the person. The person makes the clothes.

Go easy on accessorizing. Too much will only draw attention to your size. Your clothes should paint the picture. Besides your clothes, a nice hair style is a must. Take care and good luck in your new job.

Pearls. Whatever you choose, make sure to keep it simple. Same for perfume and makeup.
