Abstinance is always best until after marriage. No failure rate with that one.

Ok, I've been on the pill for about 10 years and after my last active pill it is 3 or 4 days before I start so I think you are fine with when you start but if you are concerned you should ask your doctor about that.
There is the Depo shot which some women really love that you get once every three months but it does have some side effects that you would need to discuss with you doctor including weight gain and bone density loss. There is also the Nuvaring which would be used similar to the patch three weeks on and one off....it is a flexible ring inserted into the vagina that gives off a continuous dose of hormones. There is also the IUD but you may or may not be a candidate for that.
You need to call you doctor or make an appointment and discuss you birth control options with him or her.......your doctor will have the best information on what is right for you and your body.

You can try Depo Provera (get a shot every 3 months and your period goes away for some women) but there are side effects with that too! Like weight gain! Or IUD (an insert that is good for 5 years) or the NuvaRing (insert the ring and take it out in 3 weeks have your period put a new one in) but you should talk to your Gyno about your options most birth controls have side effects! Read up on them yourself!! Cause your doc might not give you the full scoop on all of them!! Good Luck!! I am on Seasonique it is a pill but you only get your period every three months! Has been working so far!!

I believe they still have the Deprovera birth control shot. You could discuss this type of birth control with your ob/gyn. There are also side of effects with it too. To the best of my knowledge all birth control runs the risk of side effects. Maybe the pill they first tried you on was to strong that sometimes happens. The dr. maybe able to try a different type of birth control pill that would be more appropriate for your body. Don't be afraid to ask questions and remember no question is stupid. The more knowledge you have the better off you'll be. It's your body and you know how your body feels no else does. Good Luck.

Aspirin.

Take one aspirin and place between your knees. Keep the aspirin there any time you are in the presence of the opposite sex. DO NOT let it fall or it wont work.

But seriously ....there is the patch, the pill, the shot, condoms, foam, diaphrams, spermicide, and if you have a car with bucket seats, that can be a nice form of birth control too. Call your doctor or planned parenthood for more options.

There are a lot of categories of delivery administration accessible. The pill refers to approximately 20plus diverse types accessible, all doing diverse "magical" issues from recuperating pores and skin to helping you loose weight. yet another sort of delivery administration is the patch. it works comparable to the pill, yet extremely of as quickly as an afternoon, it extremely is as quickly as a week and it extremely is like the nicotine patches. there is likewise extra evasive manners like: photos, surgical procedures, woman vasectomies, getting your tubes tied, and getting somewhat implant put in for 5 to fifteen years that releases a hormone to regulate. the numerous much less evasive procedures, yet in addition much less uncomplicated are the inserts: the ring and that new Y component they have come out with interior the previous couple of months. All of those are incredibly efficient. No BC could be exact at a hundred% efficient simply by fact there'll continuously be something/sometime whilst .0001% something is going incorrect. they are masking their butts. Condoms are much less efficient, as is the "pulling out" technique of intercourse. Abstenense is often going to be the maximum well liked delivery administration, yet even Mary have been given pregnant as a virgin. the wonderful component you're able to do is communicate on your OBGYN approximately what's impressive for you. i'm somewhat forgetful, yet i do unlike photos, so I do the patch, as quickly as a week... rather ordinary and common to disguise on my backside.

You don't say how old you are.

If you are young, and not in a long term (years) committed relationship - then condoms are the one and only answer.

If you are older, then discussing this matter with your OB GYN is the best bet. However, the IUD and diaphragm are effective.

Abstinence helps the heart to grow fonder.

It also keeps away the std's and AIDS.

Your choice -
Stupid - keep doing it
Smart - stop it and focus on a future.
