please please please help!! it works on a friends computer but just not mine. ive taken it to apple and they said i need to download the updaters, which i have done like 10 times! its really fustratin!!!!!!!!!!! please help, im thinking to just get myself a new one!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you have a windows computer click start at the lower left of your screen,click all programs then you should find a file named ipod,click it then you should see an extended file saying -Ipod updater-Click it then there should be a file with the same name click it and a page should open saying update or restore.click restore and it should work

You have not explained the nature of the corruption but if your iPod is playing fine but just not updating on your computer, but does so fine on your friend's computer, then Apple is correct that it is not your iPod but your iTunes software. You may have an issue with your computer. What I would suggest is NOT to simply update your iTunes software but to remove it totally from your computer including the trash bin, then completely reinstall. If you simply try to update, it may be skipping the update of a latest file version that is corrupt.

Important note: if the software is the problem get a registry cleaner program and use it after the uninstall that way it'll be a better install the second time around.
