I have a court hearing on Monday and I'm really nervous, I don't have a lawyer(pro-se), it's a divorce and it's an uncontested divorce and when I get nervous I can't hardly talk, I feel like butterflies in my tummy and thats now imagine when it's the day I get even worst.
What do you do when you get very nervous?

Okay first of all, I've NEVER been in a court room, but I do know what it's like to be nervous while speaking in front of others. One thing I've realized while sitting through classroom speeches, anxiously awaiting my turn is that I barely understood anything I was hearing, because I was so scared about what I was about to say. As humans, we are all self centered in our nature, so don't worry about how you sound or come across too much, because everyone else is probably too self absorbed to even notice.
Huge apologies if this didn't help, but I wish you the best of luck!
You'll do great, I'm sure! =)

Trust the Judge, his/her job is to ensure that you are treated fairly while in the court. Answer his/her questions as concisely and completely as possible and as objectively as possible. He needs facts, not emotional hyperbole, so just let him/her set the pace in the courtroom. The night before, I recommend a good long jog (if you jog) or walk (if not a jogger), followed by a long soak in a hot tub.

Look forward to life without your husband. Look at the judge rather than your husband. Take deep breaths.
