Do something that you really don't want to do?

* If you had to do it.

I just think about how the consequences of not doing it would inconvenience more than going through with it. I wake up most days and don't feel like going to work, wishing I could stay home and watch TV, surf the net, and play video games. But if I don't go to work, I won't be able to pay the electric bill so I could do those things.

If you HAD to do it, what choice do you really have? We can make ourselves do the unthinkable if necessary.
Of course check other options that you would be more willing to accept, but if there aren't other options, all I know to do would be to do what you know is right.
Could you handle the consequences if you didn't?
Could you live w/ yourself if you did?
We can live w/ ourselves if we do something we shouldn't if we're forced to alot easier than wanting to do something we know we shouldn't want to do b/c we're ashamed of ourselves for wanting to.
I hope everything works out for you. Good luck.

Mind over matter. Just tell yourself that you have to do it and then do. Its never as bad as you think its going to be. And once its done you can say, hey I did it.

I often look at the results. Once I do it, it's done, goodbye, I can sit down and watch a movie. Another way is to break it up into manageable parts,

You do it. It's will power. I don't always want to exercise everyday but I tell myself how out of shape I'll be if I don't so I do.
Try something along those lines, or develop an imaginary friend to do it for you :)

This is one of my biggest problems. I think it comes down to really understanding what you want in life. There are probably some truths that you just don't want to face, or some feelings you haven't dealt with.

I just suck it up (my fear or whatever emotion I am having re: not wanting to do the "something") and I do it...

If I "have" to do it, then I have to do it (to keep my job or whatever it may be, where not doing it would be a bad thing).

You often end up finding that it wasn't as bad as you had anticipated...

Look at the consequences if you don't. Looking at the negative can get you to be more willing to do the positive!!

Think positively about it. I tell myself "after it's over it won't be as bad as I made it out to be. ." I dreaded that for nothing!
