Go to Yahoo Finance

Click on a chart of the Dow, or on the DJIA quote to bring up a chart of the Dow.

On the left sidebar, click on Historical Prices.

That will bring you here:

At the bottom of the listing, click on "Download to Spreadsheet"

I like using Big Charts. They provide a lot of historical information about stocks and will chart it out. It's especially useful if you need to look up the price of a stock or mutual fund on a certain day.
