In Messenger, you need to turn on Archiving. In the Messenger menu, select Preferences and choose Archive. Select the first option (to save all messages).

If you are talking about email, then you need an email client, such as Outlook Express, Outlook, Eudora or something similar, which can download your emails. If your email is Yahoo, then you will probably have to upgrade to Yahoo Plus in order to get POP access (to download mail). Other mail providers have different rules - but look for 'POP access' in Help to find out if you can send and receive emails from your chosen mail provider.

yahoo.com - requires upgrade to Yahoo Plus
yahoo.co.uk - requires that you receive advertising mail from Yahoo
googlemail.com or gmail.com - POP access is free but needs to be activated
hotmail.com, msn.com - can be accessed from Outlook Express (I am not sure about other clients).

it rather is form of remotely available, yet you will could know a thank you to software. you could look at fetchyahoo, a software designed for Linux. you could no longer deliver e mail utilising it, however. i ended utilising Yahoo Mail for this very reason, and that i now use GMail. It enables POP get admission to on loose money owed.
