I have nothing to back this up other than watching people, especially women, being very choosey about the sunglasses they buy.

I wear my sunglasses all day every day, and all night too. Their primary function is to sit on top of my head and keep my hair out of my eyes. Eye protection outdoors is a secondary function. Before I wore sunglasses as a hair toy, I could never remember to take them with me to use as eye protection. Therefore, I only buy sunglasses that will look good with my complexion, hair colour and clothing colours. =D

That would have to be fashion first and foremost. Do you think the glare of the sun is so high that you even need to wear shades in the mall or at a resteraunt!!? Definitely for fashion but some people still wear them to protect their eyes, you decide- why do you wear them?.....

Yes, most women wear sunglasses to match their outfits, as an accessory to the outfit. It is common now to be sun savvy, wide brim hats, big glasses to shield your hold eye area. So it is for cutting down on the glare of the sun, but it is done fashionably.

I live in Florida. I like sunglasses to look good, however, my main reason for wearing them is to cut down the glare of the sun. Since I lose them often, I won't spend more than $15-$20.

Nowadays, wearing sunglasses is definitely more of a fashion thing. Even I've bought designer glasses for no reason other than to look good.

i think people over the age of 25, wear them for cutting the sun... but under 25... for fashion purposes only

def. more of a fashion purpose, but then again it depends on how the woman's personality is. a more of a trendy person like me, where sunglasses for more of a fashion purpose..and for s un protection i guess. â¥

I wear sunglasses when I'm trying to cover up the fact that I'm not wearing make-up.
