for one thing science doesn't know anything...it is the definition of limitation so it can never prove anything beyond what the naked eye can see and observe. The sources of the actual forces and phenomena that exist are unknown to science, don't get lost. Science is strictly cosmetic, trying to put faith in science to prove anything beyond our 3 dimentional realm, would be like saying a person who had plastic surgery is beautiful, it just isn't the meaning of beauty. So anything that has to do with the unseen and unknown can never be given its true representation through science, its true nature can only be understood through spritual means. Science and scientists are not aware of the beyond, just like any ordinary person. They thought and continue to think about and try to understand what they can see, they are not seekers of the answers to the question of God...or that which cannot be seen and observed, because that is a requirment for there to be a science surrounding it. Those who are seekers of God have been here long before the first scientific hypothesis.
They seek what cannot be seen, like those spiritual masters of India, it is the unseen which drives them and it is the understanding of its existence that makes them who they are. A life with limitations is not richer than an eternal life, that is pure ignorance, the universe itself is the prime example of eternal life, and in what possible category could it lack in richness, not even that which cannot be imagined. Don't be blinded by lack of belief, it is almost as sad as being blinded by belief itself.

I don't believe in a life after death because I believe you can only achieve relative to the limits within your life, So for a mountain climber to climb Everest is an achievement but for a another, Snowdon would do. However if there is life after death then there are no restrictions, no limits to push against. If you fail to climb Everest now, you have the rest of eternity to train to do it. To put it another way life is richer if it is temporary than if it is eternal.

(Oh I also have never encountered a logical reason to believe in it)

I do. But I do admit that I am afraid that there isn't. So it is probably as atheists say, we believe because we don't want to admit the alternative to ourselves.

But the reason I still believe is that there just HAS to be some reason for all of this. For the existence of our race (human), for the all the good and all the evil, for the miracles and grand disasters that we all experience. If we truly are some accidental science experiment, well, what a hole that leaves in our being.

As long as you believe that you are a part of this vast Nature and if you have observed the Nature, and its recycling process of everything that exists and happens in the Nature, then you will find some truth, (if you want to see) in after life theory!

No, of course I don't believe in the after life. I actually have a problem with belief in general. The after life, and anything with it, is a lie.

I would like to think there is something great that happens after life, to make up for all the sordid misery and filth. But I have no -reason- to believe it, so I don't. I'm just waiting to see what happens (or doesn't happen).
