Going blueberry picking with my cousin and picking quite a few baskets and then bringing them to our grandmother to bake a pie with. The smell was great as it cooked and it tasted even better with a bit of vanilla ice cream on top

Just one me and my sister got up at 4 am looked outside and it was snowing. It was already deep. We opened the window and listened to the radio to see if school would be out. The cows were covered with snow. We would moo and them and they would moo back. lol
The snow strom came from nowhere that night. Then we cheered when we heard school was closed. Ate cereal in front of the window in a freezing room. And watched this man getting cow to walk . Just sticks out in my mind.

My "oldest" and one of my favorites goes back to when I was approximately 2 yrs old; my parents were having a party in the back yard and I was suppose to be asleep, but instead went to the bathroom window to check everything out; at 1 point my mom and a friend said they were coming in to check on me to the other adults; I ran back to bed and pretended to be sleeping but heard every word they said: "Oh, doesn't she look like an angel.", "How sweet...", etc.

Christmas time at my mother's house. There is 7 of us and their children which is 10 grandchildren and it was always so hectic Christmas eve and Christmas. I hated it back then but I miss the noise now. Christmas hasn't been the same since.

My maternal grandmother cutting up an apple for me. Until she did that, I thought they weren't supposed to be cut up and was never able to finish one. (I was just a kid at the time.) Thanks to her, I finished the apple and felt very grown up.
Also, the first meal she made for me, she gave me a toothpick afterwards. The last time I saw her alive many years later, her teeth were hurting and I gave her a toothpick. We had come full circle. She died seven months later.

Giving birth to my three children. Everyone was special in its own way. I loved it when they wrapped them up in those little hospital blankets and they were handed to you to hold for the first time and they are trying to open there eyes up at you....priceless!
