Firefighter in the Navy during Desert Storm. As if it wasn't hot enough in that freakin desert, I had to fight fires.
Moral of the story: Don't go on a bender the night before you enlist!!!!!

I took a few en route to establishing a strong business.
A few which took me to the wrong side of the legal system.
And a lot of physical risks - fighting and riding too fast with potentially lethal consequences probably being the most risky.
Take your pick :o)

Going off around the world on a sailboat with an crazy irishman instead of heading off to college (amazed actually that my parents survived that one!)
