Vengeance is a noun

Revenge is a noun and a verb - in other words when you take revenge you get vengeance...

but essentially the same thing now as we are lazy with the English language and tend to just use the word revenge

I think vengeance is when revenge occurs by the hands of someone else or some other act not instituted by you. Revenge is when the act is physically carried out by you....Again...I think that's the difference.

pursuing either will warp your mind ,suck the life from your soul and send you over to the dark side.
May I suggest that revenge could be a one-off eye for an eye act
whilst vengeance sounds like a long running all encompassing feud that may ultimately destroy the world and one that begs accolytes to join your cause.

Revenge is when you seek to get even with someone, vengeance is when you actually take revenge on someone.

No difference. One can seek revenge or seek vengeance. Similarly, one can take revenge or take vengeance.

vengeance is punishing for wrong doings. revenge is to hurt someone intentionally and without guilt.

vengeance is when you really hate something .........revenge is when you want to actually get someone back for doing something to you ...............think this is right !!!!!

i enjoy them both
but i would rather say "you will suffer my vengeance"
than "you will suffer my revenge"
it sounds better and more fierce
