my friend from last year, we have each others aim names but she never talks to me on aim and im not shure if she wants to so should i start talking to her?

I would, she may be thinking the same way you are and that's why she's not talking. If you want to keep her as your friend make the first move what do you have to lose?

Send a single "hello"
If she doesn't respond within a week or so, move one.
A friend will work at keeping the communication going. An aquaintance will just pass by.
