Maybe you should clean it's cage if you are getting ants in his food?!?

Take the hamster to the vet.

I'm sorry you ar going through this, Please understand that hamsters only live for about a year and a half or so, some times up to 3 if its a male.

Your best bet is to get it to a vet, that way if it is its time to pass the vet can help it across much easier.

Best of luck to you.

um is this a shaggy dog tale? in the journey that your no longer kidding whoever instructed you to ask for a "chutney ferret" is joking with you because it is purely slang for a gay guy (heavily look it up). There are no longer "breeds" of ferrets like canines or maybe cats there quite purely separated by coloration and/or development. To the unique questions specific ferrets could make sturdy pets yet they require extra interest then say a cat or something comparable as they could desire to be stored caged a selection of of the time and set loose to play and workout robotically they could desire to additionally be supervised in any respect situations whilst enable to run loose as they are very curios and could bite and get into each and every thing. It quite relies upon on how old/in charge your daughter is and in case you think of she will cope with the duty. If a ferret sounds to intense maintenance could I recommend a rabbit? they're a similar vein of puppy yet require much less artwork and interest.

Well the ants are not the hampsters problem. put a lid on the cage and get ant catchers w/ poisen in them. The ants could be making the hammy sick.

Hamsters only live a year or two. Call the vet first.
