I really want to change the system icons, such as the default for folder and MP3 and etc, and does anyone know of any good hacks or 3rd party apps to do that?

Right mouse click on folder, Properties, Customize tab, Change Icon. For icons go to www.wincustomize.com

in c:/windows/system you will see system32.dll file. it contains so many icons and you can choose the one you want.
