Since 1776 - which dictator did the US overthrow....

The shah of Iran in 1979. The US allowed him to die in shame and squalor in France. The US helped the Ayatollah build up nuclear capabilities until making the threats to M.A. last year.

I would gladly list more, but we were asked to keep the answer to 1 per person.

To add to eantaelor's remark, there's lots of information on the net...and even in the case of Saddam, it wasn't for the benefit of people, but for oil and control...people are living in fear more than ever and have had over 60,000 of them killed in just the last three years or so. And by the way, who do you think helped Saddam become a dictator in the first place, and for that matter, how do you think the Taliban came into being?!

This is a silly question....better....How many elected leaders has the U.S. overthrown and replaced with a dictator? Puting Sadam in power, for example or Pinochet or the Taliban.
