How much does it roughly cost to have air con put into a car?

depends on the automobile,but usually this is done by a dealer which can charge you $2000-4000 it all depends on what options were installed when you purchased it like the on/off ac
switch,climate control,low, med .high ... but if you can find someone that has after market parts it may be alot cheaper....check around for pricing...

depending on the car, you may find parts the are usable from wrecks or junk yards. it will still be expensive, unless they make a kit for the car with everything in it.

Too much!! for retrofitting. You would be better to change your car for one that already has it. Otherwise UK price, £1000.00 to £2000.00 depending on car make and model and spec of system.
