I hate having to swallow that horrible cotton ball everytime I open up a container of asprins. Well, at least it makes my headache go away, but I'm constantly afraid of choking on it and possibly dying. I know a lot of you out there can relate to this, and are frustrated about it. What is our options here?

Is it for real? That cotton is not meant for swallowing and it never was. I hope you didn't try to eat the container of the aspirins after emptying it:))

This cotton is there to protect the pills from breaking during shipping, by minimizing space in the container.

yeah well when i swallow the cotton balls it all seems fine and i dont worry choking on it since my saliver makes it into a little ball. Is all good mate!

No, no, no--you hold the cotton in your cheek to absorb the spit in your mouth to guarantee the aspirin will get stuck in your throat. You wouldn't want it to go down into your stomach where it would be rendered useless by all that acid!

If you put a lifesaver with it you get cotton candy. It will taste better.

Maybe you should try cutting it into smaller pieces--that would hopefully reduce your risk of choking....

Its good fiber. Try wetting it first, or coating it in butter or yogurt. That might help you get it down...
