yes, A motorcycle with a sidecar is still registered the same...as a motorcycle.there is no additional registration or anything for the sidecar,just bolt it on.

My understanding is that as far as D.M.V. goes ,there i s no distinction between a motorcycle and a sidecar. That is how it is in Calif. Even the insurance co. did not change the classification. They consider it an accessory. (( I have a sidecar in addition to the other bikes, I built for the dog,)) Holli loves her sidecar!

motorcycles with sidecars should be legal, over here in California they are considered "vehicles" according to the DMV anything with 4-wheels is no longer considered a motorcycle.
