If you go online there is a cheese store, and forgive me I've forgotten the name, that will ship direct, all kinds of cheese snack trays, wrapped especially for the holidays. I've used it several years for family that isn't going to be coming in and have always received great thank yous and how delicious it was. You can never go wrong with a lovely FTD bouquet - that just says the holidays aren't the same when we can't all be together! Love, And then they have a beautiful holiday decoration. Hallmark ornaments are an especially memorial type gift that marks time, especially for children. And then, it's never wrong to send a card with a $30 gift card for Amazon or Barnes and Noble online shopping - hope this gives you some out of the box ideas! I like a person who shops early - I do! Can't stand last minute waiting!

It all depends on the age and gender. Alot of women like candles or lotions. Stuff from bath and body works. But it may get spendy to ship. You can always look for gift baskets to be delivered to their house. Just google gift baskets and something will pop up.

A gift basket full of foods and goodies that are specific to your region of the country. Other regions can not get those goods. For example, i'm from New England. pure vermont maple syrup is everywhere around my way... but people in Montana won't be able to get it easily. Those types of things. I LOVE getting gifts that are from other regions of the country...

It would depend on your family's likes and dislikes and ages of people involved.
1. How about a cd of music that the person likes?
2. Something with religious significance (ie a rosary)?
3. A gift card so the person can pick what he/she wants for Christmas.
I hope this helps.

I'm with the people who said gift cards. If you're not sure on a store or what they like then try a good all-purpose place like Amazon or BestBuy, I think everyone can find something on those places.

What about gift cards to their favorite restaurant or store. It would only cost the price of a Christmas card to ship and it is something they will use. It also lets you pick the dollar amount.
Merry Christmas................

With my family, anything homemade works. I like to craft and work in the woodshop. It makes the gifts feel like you put some time and effort in coming up with an idea.
