Oh.my.word. I wouldn't worry, I really don't think it is going to happen - just another crazy media hyped frenzy! Look at the Cold War - everyone thought the US and the Communist States were going to blow the world up with nuclear war. It never happened.
I would be more worried about the destruction of the earth by pollution.

I'm not sure that it will be humankind that destroys itself. More likely it will be another ice age. Previous extreme changes in climate have both reduced or annihilated dominant creatures including homonids. This resets the populations in the interest of the interactivity and continuance of all life on Earth. Mankind is small and insignificant in the great scheme of things. Gaia is greater and more powerful than we give her credit for!

I have 2 children and i thnk every day what a sad world i have brought them into, ur right there is guna be a big boom, theres too much hatred in the world and it sickens me, im forever sending my kids old clothes to charities to help war children and such but were only dots in the world the leaders arent doing enuf xxx

For the moment we outnumber them - but everybody is sitting on their asses and not doing anything.
I hate to think what the world will be like in 15 years unless something drastic is done. Religion is a very dangerous thing!
