There are 3 teams on the schedule that have a chance against the Chargers this year. Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Seattle. Having said that all three of those are winnable, but its a long season and nobody goes unbeaten. In their division they should go unbeaten. Denver is a joke, only scoring 9 points against Kansas City, what do you think will happen when they face San Diego's "Lights out" defense. The playoffs are always anybodys guess, but Colts fans might want to remember the Chargers did ruin their perfect season last year by blowing them out in Indy.

I like the Chargers a lot but realistically they have beaten two of the worst teams in the NFL. The next two games are going to be very difficult for the Chargers (or anyone else for that matter). They play the Ravens in Baltimore then entertain the Steelers in SD. Both these games could result in SD losses. On Nov 12, the Chargers play at Cincinnati and on Dec 24 at Seattle. The Chargers are a good team and may win the AFC West, but to think they can get through the 4 games mentioned earlier without a defeat is very optimistic.

Ok first- to the first 2 idiots...we don't play the colts or the pats this season so read a freaking schedule! The Bolts have started off great and Rivers will only gain more confidence as the season progresses but let's be serious for a second...we played 2 cupcake teams. Rivers will face 2 aggressive defenses back to back with Baltimore in Baltimore and at home against the Steelers. That's a red flag right there. Then in November we play Cincinnati and they way they've been playing, that'll be a fun but tough game. So let's say we lose those 3 games...we still end up 13-3 with a bye the first week of the playoffs...not too shabby!

Put the bong down and get some coffee.
SD has pounded on the two worst teams in the NFL. TEN and OAK are in complete disarray, and are not at all indicative of how San Diego is going to be over the course of the season.
Phillip Rivers is enjoying the luxury of seeing LT run against two pathetic defenses. The SD defense is giving them great field position. What happens when Baltimore or Denver shuts down LT, or at least contains him. Rivers has yet to see a serious pass rush. If SD wins in Mile High or Arrowhead, then I think you can pose the question again, and we'll know they are for real.
Who is capable of beating them? BAL, CIN, SEA, PIT. Also, they'll probably split the season series with DEN and KC.
9-7, and will miss the playoffs because of the number of contenders in the AFC...

The Chargers have beaten Oakland and Tennessee. No doubt two of the worse teams in the league. Looking at SD schedule I see a whole host of teams that can, and probably will, beat them. Here's a few....Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Denver (maybe twice), KC (maybe twice), Baltimore, Buffalo, Seattle.

Aw c'mon dude, realistically, any team on any given sunday (or monday) can beat the chargers. ok sunday, cuz the chargers dont play on mondays. i saw the only teams taken into consideration were the steelers, cincinatti, & the seahawks. Don't 4get they also play, the broncos & i wouldnt underestimate the chiefs, yes they are 0-2, but they won't go 0-16. Plus, the chargers, like many others have said, have played 2 teams that aren't really that much competition (sorry raider & titan fans), so yes its too early to be talking about a 16-0 season, they'll probably end 10-6. . .

Chargers may be my "late" pick to win the super bowl right now if they can prove Rivers can pass against a good defense...they are looking VERY sharp...but I think a few teams can still beat them...Seattle, Chicago, and possibly Indy (if they can get a run game going against what looks to be the best defense in the AFC.
We'll see.

Only the Broncos but they have to start playing a hell of alot better than they have been. The chargers are real tough though. The colts will beat them in the playoffs.

What are you talking about? They beat the 2 worst teams in football: Tennessee and Oakland (not only the worst but Aaron Brooks got hurt so their awful BACKUP quarterback played). Why don't you wait until you play a quality team before you start bragging? The NY Jets were bragging last week until they played a quality team... See what happened!!
