a crotch rocket is not a bike,just becuase its fast and you can do a wheelie on it doesnt make it a mans bike. if you want a real bike get a harley.its not plastic and makes a whiney noise when you ride.
fyi,i ride a 2006 harley sportser and could of bought 2 crotch rockets for what i paid for mine.cuase it is twice the bike

I know people who ride Harleys (and I mean longer than to the next bar), and they'd never think of belittling someone because of the bike they ride.
Motorcyclists are a brotherhood. I don't give a damn if you ride a Harley, Honda, BMW or Ducati, we all have something in common that the rest of the world has trouble understanding. Open your mind a little and realize that the guy on the crotch rocket has a lot more in common with you than the person in the SUV.
And one more thing; the price you paid for the bike doesn't have anything to do with your masculinity or lack thereof. Just because you chose to pay Harley's inflated prices for a beginner bike doesn't mean you have to belittle everyone else. Grow up.

"Crotch" rockets are in fact very serious motorcycles. Have you ever tried to ride one to its fullest potential. Since you seem to be in the mood for slamming other riders and the bikes they ride. Harley owners generally consider the Sporster an entry level Harley for those with little or no experience on a Harley, many go on to not even consider the Sporster a "real Harley." That being said, I do in fact enjoy Sporties, I've owned two of them. I currently ride a Super Glide. To express such a narrow view of all of the other bikes available out their only shows your ignorance of the subject as a whole.

I am not a crotch rocket fan BUT, maybe the ones that are like a bike that actually handles and drives good and dont beat you to death going down the road. Look around next time on the road and see what you see more of, thats what I thought, Its all in what you like and are comfortable on.
P.S. Some people dont like oil all over their drive way from a leaky Harley and always having to work on them!

I rode an 06 Sportser once, for a friend of mine. He is in his 60's and said he needed a small bike, and that is exactly what he got. Now that is fine for him, but I enjoy the freedom of my VTX-1800S. I do not mind having a lot of bike on the road, but hey you can ride your little bike if you want. I owned a crotch rocket once, never will again, but that is what some people enjoy. I do not come down on HDs for spending a wad of cash on half of the bike I have, and I don't bang on rockets for a perceived death wish. Ride what you like, and like what you ride.

I will add that Richard J is just as much a blow-hard... no one would witness a wreck like that and drive by laughing their a$$ off. Richard is no doubt a real 'tough' guy... Others have said it before... the two-wheel experience is unique- be glad that you are riding WHATEVER you are riding. Any bike beats the crap out of four wheels...
2005 BMW R1150R, 1982 Honda CB650, and maybe a Harley VRod if the mood ever hits me.

I've been riding longer than you've been alive and have ridden bikes that would make most people cry like a baby. Ever hear of the Yamaha V-Max? Or how about the Suzuki TM400?
Personally I don't care what you ride, just as long as you ride. But if you're going to "dis" someone for what they ride, then you're not a biker.
BTW - My biker friends that own Harley's often refer to the Sportster models as "chick bikes."

Ive been ridin for 35 years and have rode anything and everything! I love my harley, I love my custom, and I love my kz1000! If its got two wheels, Im on a bike! I like the Harley for its sound and comfort, I like the kz because its turbo charged and aint too much that can touch it! I like my custom because its totally hand fabricated by me! I use to like my dirt bike many years ago but it cost me some pain that still remains with me! Bottom line? You aint a real biker unless you have enjoyed them all!
P.S. I love to ride my kids crotch rocket! It handles like a dream!

First off dipsh*t its a sportbike. "Just because its fast and you can do a wheelie on it" neither of which a harley can accomplish. Twice the bike? Maybe three times...heavier and slower. Its morons like you that probably clog up the back roads slowing down old ladies in station wagons.

Hey, Pinhead, just so you know, your precious Harley Davidson Motorcycle Company has now completely sold out, and not just to RUBs like you. As of 2007-2008, Harley Davidson engines are going to be produced by....YAMAHA! Oh, and by the way, Sportsters are women's bikes.
