i have a problem where my comp was missing files at startup. i am in the process of reinstalling windows, but in the middle of the set-up an error message pops up "Realtek Audio file did not pass windows logo test" (or something to that effect), and then the computer freezes.

i have a wireless mouse and keyboard, so i am under the impression it could be that. can you advise if this is the reason or if there is another malfunction i have to tend to?

the other day, my computer just shut off - and when i restarted, error "file not found or corrrupted" and to insert set-up disk to repair C:/WINDOWS..... Ntfs.sys

when i insert the only disk i have, it doesnt matter if i hit "R" or enter, the system goes through start-up and brings me back to the same error?
so i made my computer boot up from the cd-rom in order to install XP. 5 minutes into setup, i get the error and the computer freezes during setup.

Realtek audio has nothing to do with the mouse and keyboard. You can connect a wired pair just to be safe, however. The question remains - how are you reinstalling. I complete reinstall, even if you are just overlaying what is there, should not have that problem unless you are also trying to save newer versions of programs you downloaded - don't do that, just take all the defaults and do your updates later.

it's simple I think you must go to MS-DOS and write '' Lock ''
or If you want to instal Linux or Mac put CD after this when you
open computer press '' Delete '' after this go to '' Boots""
and both of them to d: or e:
