We had an evening wedding with about 50 guests. It was much more intimate and very romantic.
We'll have been married 23 years this December!

Afternoon

The afternoon but would do an evening wedding if I had to do it over again.

We wanted appetizers for our food so the afternoon was the best time for that. We didn't like the idea of a sit down meal. People don't seem to mingle as much then.

Evening wedding tho pretty much meant we'd have to feed a dinner.

In retrospect, with the appetizers we had, which includes small sandwiches, we could've done like 3:30/4:00 .

We married at 2 in the afternoon. We chose this time to save money (we had to pay for the entire wedding). By having a 2pm wedding, it was past lunch but well before dinner, so we only needed light finger-foods at the reception.

I married in the afternoon.

Several Reasons:

1) it was after lunch (1:30) so I didn't have to feed them a whole meal, just finger stuff. Which cost alot less.

2) Alot of places aren't open really early to get your hair and makeup done.

3) I just couldn't bare having to wait ALL DAY to get married in the evening. That would have driven me nuts.

If I had it to do all over again, I'd still have gotten married at 1:30.

afternoon would seem the best.

you have all morning for everyone to get ready and a reception shortly after the wedding into the evening and night is always fun.

I got married in the afternoon. Nice summer day in July. Perfect weather, and the bridesmaide dresses were mint green, very nice.

Afternoon - more time to get hair etc done and allow guests to travel without rushing.
