how to make a magnet stronger?

i want to know how to make a magnet stronger like the magnets in ear bud head phones and i want to know more then one way

Obtain a good quality pocket knife first. Let the blade touches the back of big speaker where held a powerful magnet. Moving the blade a few times along the magnet then withdraw. Blade turns into a piece of magnet.
