Definitely move him in to a tank or Betta bowl by himself. Add a few drops of "Betta Fix" (you can get this at any pet or fish supply store) to his water daily for 7 days without doing any water change and then just keep an eye on him. This happened to one of my Betta's and her fins grew back just as pretty as they were before.
Good Luck!

You need to go get yourself a small tank/bowl and use it as a hospital tank. I don't know that you necessarily need any meds for him at this moment (fins will grow back, but it takes a long time - perhaps as long as a year in some cases).
Get him in another bowl by himself, and just keep an eye on him for any infections. If infections do show up (Ulcers, Fin/Tail Rot) then I would recommend checking into meds from Virbac Animal Health (Mardel Products).
Good Luck

Not a problum Ive had two or three battas so far.....The fins of a batta may grow back in time.. But you need to get the bata his own bowl. Battas should almost never be put in the same tank with other fish..If your going to put the batta in a tank with other fish make shure their smaller or the same size as the batta...your lucky it only bit it's fins off. My old koi ate one of my battas when i did that...
you learn from expeiriance......xoxoxo rachel ...hope i helped .

You need to ioslate him, and keep his water as clean as possible. (regular water changes and not over feeding) While not subjecting him to rapid changes in water temp. Also I'd add 1 teaspoon of salt per 2.5 gallons of water. A treament like melafix, or bettafix will help prevent infection. As long as the base of the fins aren't damaged they generally grow back.

Fins will regrow in time. Put him back in his old container and offer him a bit of frozen brine shrimp every other day. Change his water ofter and add salt for freshwater aquariums to prevent infections

If no longer something replaced into torn and it extremely is purely a "mechanical" harm, then there is not any longer lots you're able to do. be sure his water is around 80 tiers, and prefer until now reported, upload some rigidity Coat, shop his lighting fixtures out and enable him relax for an afternoon or 2.
