My ipod is very scratched up and it is my fault it isnt working(I dropped it ) but I am within my warrenty period. Even though it is my fault it isnt working, can I still get it repaired? I went to there website and it says that as long as it is within the 1 year warenty you can get sent a fixed one..but mine is scratched and stuff and they dont say anything about that. Can someone help me out. Should I send it in or will they just send my broken one back to me?

Yes you can. Check all your information on your warranty. I had recently bought a new warranty before my old one expired even though my ipod was screwed up royally. I had to register my info and then contact Apple. What they do is they send you a special box that you put your ipod in and then you ship it back out to them. If it isn't ingraved then it should arrive back at a minimum of one week. It takes a week or so longer if you have it ingraved. Check that apple website for more details. Good Luck!

Well, where'd you get it? I broke mine too (just after warrenty ended) and i bought it from best buy, i called em' gave them some information about the iPod and myself, they then promply told me the warrenty was over, but, if i had broken it earlier it wouldve been replaced. But that depends where you bought it, if you dont remember or something else, e-mail or call apple.

Call Apple, write to apple, email apple.

Why would anyone on here know better than the manufacturer?

What is the problem? Try the 5 R's and look around on the support pages. http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/ Do not say I think I broke it try to distort the problem to make it theirs not yours.
