My husband really wants a 1992 Camaro but he would like a t-top. We live in Hawaii so being picky is not working out for him and he hasn't been able to find one. I was just wondering if maybe we found one that had a regular hard top if we could have it made into a t-top.

It is possible to convert a hardtop into a T-top. In fact it's a fairly simple process for most welders and fairly common as well. The only problem is I have no idea on the quality of mechanic/welder in Hawaii. Just call the local body shop to find out how much it costs. Probably a few thousand.

With enough skill and MONEY you can. Doesn't mean it will work out all that well. Depends on who does the work.

Find one elsewhere and have it shipped to hawaii.

You can, but why go thru the expense and all. Plus it will weaken the roof.
