What kind of questions get you to answer them?

I noticed that I only look at questions from people who have put a picture up, even if it is just an avatar. Are you more compelled to answer random questions? Or do you actually look at the questions themselves and not worry about the picture. What compells you to answer?

At first it was the questions that intrigued me.

Sometimes I'd answer the stupid ones, just for fun.

Then there are the patronizing questions - sometimes I'd give'em a piece of my mind other times I just ignore them.

Lately, I'm looking through each category, once a week. looking for the ones that are interesting and have the least amount or no answers. Too many answers - mean a lower probability of getting the best answer.

My best answers have gone from 2% to 17% in the last 6 weeks.

Sometimes the picture helps. I answer some stupid ones, just to let them know they're stupid and then I answer the ones that I know I can, especially if it could help someone. But, then I'm kind of always drawn back to the stupid ones. You can't swing a dead cat in Yahoo! Answers without hitting a stupid person..........

Whatever question happens to catch my interest. I usually don't look at the picture. If it seems like a good, interesting question, I answer it. If not, I go on.

I read many questions before answering. The picture helps sometime. Not always.

what compells me to answer is when i think that I my be able to answer some ones question not if they have a face or not

The title is the 1st thing that attracts me ...that's why i tend to choose fabulous attractive titles for my Questions ..if you realized .

plus,i answer people who really NEED HELP ,wether with scientific issues or social or even religious ones.

Lastly,if people ask about opinions,then i easily post mine,if the issue was decent & within accepted limits .

Either VERY interesting and intelligent answers, or VERY stupid one. The first because it is challenging to answer them in kind. The second, because the dumb-dumbs who post them need to be discouraged. OR, I may just have legitimately, useful info to impart.

i rarely pay attention to avatars; thought-provoking q's get my attention. if i'm in a lazy mood, then i just answer the ones that u can answer in one or two words.
