Depending on your operating system, Windows generally doesn't care if you have more than one driver set on a computer. It will select the one for the printer used. You can go to start, control panel, Printers and faxes. Right click on the printer being removed. Left click on remove. It will ask you if you are sure. answer yes. If the printer driver is large, you might want to go to add/remove programs on the control panel page and select the printer driver for removal.
I hope that this helps.

If it was me I would just let everything stay as is. If your computer and your printer are working fine, why would you want to take the chance and remove the wrong driver.

Let's just say that by chance the person who removed your old printer and left the driver in the pc related the old printer there will be no conflict. (Usually all software/hardware is removed at the same time the printer is removed).

When the new printer was installed, Microsoft says, "we recognize new hardware in your pc". An a wizard will open and he/she will have been quided through the installation of your new printer.

All I can say, if you don't have a problem why create a problem which can very easy happen if you start trying to remove a driver that may or not be related to the current printer in your system.
