Saddly today marks the 36th anniversary of Jimi Hendrix's death. I am asking this as a memorial to the greatest guitar player who had ever lived.

"I am the one who has to die when it's time for me to die, so let me live my life the way I want to." James Marshall Hendrix 11-27-42 to 9-18-70

Home Boy had a life? What a sad contribution to society to just play a guitar and do drugs then die. What a sad waste of talent he was.

I am going to drink a bottle of wine and watch the Band Of Gypsy's (Live at the Fillmore East) DVD. I still can't believe his friggin leads on Machine Gun. And the words to that song scare me still. Most powerful rock ever. I have heard that Viet Nam vets can't listen to that song, it is like being in combat, and freaks them out. Kind of like hearing sirens.

Nowadays people concern themselves too much with peoples lives and not enough with their art. If I judged Hemingway or Jack London by what they did and not what they wrote I would have never have read them. Our president had many things in his past these same people choose to forget!!!

Why would we want to honor a drug addicts life? He committed suicide. That is someone we want to respect? I saw him in concert once....they had to carry him on stage. What a waste of talent. What a slob.
