I have very sensitive skin and thus if I'm not careful, my face breaks out. I have found that using Neutrogena Foundation for Oily Skin helps and it doesn't clog my pores or rub off on anything (unless its my cell phone and I'm on it forever). I do know that if I'm lazy at night and forget or just don't take off my make-up, my face will break out.

Neutrogena is one of the best out there, I've tried Lancome and it didn't work as well, I wasn't very pleased after paying over 40.00 for something.

Try some of the new makeup that is made with minerals. I have SUPER sensitive skin and have found that it feeld like you are wearing almost nothing on your face. Also, make sure you clean your skin properly before and after you wear makeup. Find cleansers that go with your skin type, the gentler the better. NEVER wear makeup to bed, always make sure you take it off, because if you don't, your pores will get clogged and will make your skin conditions worse.

You need to find a brand that specifically states that it is "NON-COMEDOGENIC" which means that the formulation's ingredients will not block or clog skin pores.

Choose "HYPO-ALLERGENIC" for sensitive skin, it will cause less irritation.

You might also want to check out some of the new "mineral" make-ups by Bare Escentuals/Bare Minerals, Neutrogena and others.

Mineral powders are composed of inert inorganic minerals and pigments that are micro-pulverized and cannot support bacteria, so no preservatives are needed. Mineral makeups are naturally non-comedogenic, moisture-free, and have virtually no allergy risk. Most of the better formulations are also:

o Anti-inflammatory, helps to calm and soothe irritated skin
o Broad-spectrum UVB and UVA protectants - up to SPF 20
o Very water resistant
o Complete coverage for skin conditions like acne, rosacea and redness or after chemical peels and laser resurfacing
o Talc and Paraben Free
o Composed of inert minerals

I haven't tried them yet, but they are said to provide good, light, all-day coverage ehat has a silky feel. Worth a try.

I have just the product for you! Arbonne International is a health and wellness company that makes its name on skincare! It uses pure, safe and beneficial ingredients that are herbal and botanically based. They are dermatologist and pediatrician tested and approved. They contain NO mineral oil (refined crude oil,), animal by-products, lanolin (sheep sweat), guano (bat feces, key ingredient in a lot of mascara's), no artificial fragrances, no dyes. They are hypoallergenic and will go on smoother and silkier than any other make-up you have ever tried. I can't say enough about them. I am 42 and have battled acne since I was a teenager. Thought it would stop but it did get more controllable. I have to watch what I put on my face or it looks like it is smeared by 2-3 hours. Arbonne's make-up goes on easy and stays on all day. I only carry lipstick/gloss and face compact with me now when I leave the house. Check out the website below for products I'm talking about. Contact me at sunnyside_64@yahoo.com if you would like to know more.

don't use any

it'll help get rid of your acne, and you won't have anything to rub offon anyone's clothes. I haven't worn foundation since I was 16, when my dermatologist told me to stop - and I now have great skin that I don't need to hide beneath make-up.

IF you still feel you need to - look for products marked "hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic" and those are your best bets to not clog your pores.

there are a couple different foundations that can help your skin but they are pricey.
At Clinique there is a foundation that will keep your face from getting bad and there is also a cover stick that is acne solutions and it covers your zits while at the same time getting rid of them.
At estee lauder there are a couple different ones you could try. just talk to the sales ladies and they will help you.

It sounds as though you're trying to use makeup to conceal some flaws on your skin. Frankly, I believe it's best for you to first tackle your skin condition. Have you tried the ProActive line?

Your skin will only get worse if you continue to pile makeup on, and especially if you're continuing to try this and try that. Get a referral to a dermatologist if your skin condition is severe. A dermatologist can recommend a brand of cosmetics suitable for your particular skin condition.

Don't take chances with your face ;)

Use a make-up that does not have oil. There are many. I find that the less expensive ones, that you can find in most stores, are the best. I use Cover girl. I have paid up to $40. for make-up base. The less than $5. for Cover girl is better.

I have sensitive skin that tends to be prone to acne. I have found that bare minerals foundation is the only thing that does not cause me to break out.
