I had always been a Norton user until I had to start restoring my system back at least once a week because of problems that were known to both Microsoft and Symantec that were being caused with Outlook. Since I uninstalled Norton and installed the free version of AVG, I have not had to restore for that reason. I have not had any virus's on my systems and have been using it for a year and a half.
Thumbs UP!!

I have used AVG Free version for over five years. In my own opinion it is the best out there. I have tried Norton, McAfee, and others and AVG has all the features and what I look for in a Virus scanner.

It is a below par product in my opinion. I would suggest spending some a bit of money on something a little more robust. I personally find Norton ok.
