As a parent I'm not going to tell you otherwise you will try and stop your parents seeing what you are up to.
The Internet is a great place - it is also a dangerous place. And parental supervision - while not welcome - is a sensible and laudible activity.

Install a keylogger. This program will record every keystroke. Some programs will also record the response from the other side (chats). Just search in google for the word keylogger. Read instructions carefully.
Trust your kids, respect privacy - but check up on them also. That is the sane thing to do. Any one who says otherwise is nuts.

if they haven't disabled the feature a log of all conversations are stored on the computer simply open up messenger and see where this file is located usually its under MyDocuments then MyReceived Files then Their username then History....Also if they have disabled this feature you can just turn it back on and have it store to where you want...this can be done by opening messenger then clicking on tools then options then on the messages tab all these settings can be changed.....OK with that said i really hope your kids are young because any parent that monitors there child's life that closely after a certain age should really be horse whipped i mean what do you wanna call the thought police next or maybe we should go ahead and turn them over to the "ministry of love" for some torture and interrogation....sorry that's my "Orwellian" rant but i hope the info helps you monitor your child and i hope you sleep well with yourself at night knowing the level of trust that you are DESTROYING between you and your child.

examining somebody else's diary, era is misguided, no count in the event that they seem to be a buddy, sibling or finished stranger till given permission or it is printed. Journals and diaries are a place the place you will confess besides the fact that they prefer to, without the rigidity of human beings understanding approximately it. that is an wonderful healing device and as such, would desire to be respected. There are different, greater suited approaches, to make certain if your new child is doing some thing volatile. i in my view have been given a record cupboard for my magazine (for somebody interested in psych, a mag incredibly enables) with a lock , and this has been mentioned by potential of many. the entire purpose of a private magazine is to jot down without annoying approximately human beings examining it. that is an invasion on the rawest area of somebody.

Google for software keylogger programs or for a hardware version called Keykatcher which is what I use. I prefer the hardware Keykatcher because kids are smart and will run scans for keylogger software. Keykatcher being hardware is immune to these scans and can be removed from their computer and read on another then put back on theirs.

well that's not nice!
Don't you know anything about privacy? If you suspect something dodgy like peado action then there is a way. But if you're just curious then you can right ahead and shoot yourself you nosey twa t
Goto My Documents > look for a folder called my received files
In there will be a folder with the name of your kids msn name. All the conversations are in there
Again, please don't abuse your kid's privacy, it's wrong and it makes you a terrible parent

Under "File" View Message History
But, the option to clear the history is there too so if you really want to keep stuff private, then clear the history as soon as you finish chatting.

they cant.
you can try to delete instant messenger from the computer, but there is always the chance that they will re-install the program.
The only real solution, is the harsh one. To remove the computer, itself...

Before sneaking around, try talking to your kids. This should help them be honest and open. Kids follow their parents' examples. If they see their parent is sneaking around, they will too.
