The real question is, are Americans that stupid.
Let's see. There's a mid-term election in six weeks.
High oil prices are one thing that people are mad about.
The oil companies have lots of friends in the GOP.
Angry people would vote against the GOP.
Does it need to be any more clear?

Apparently you have no concept of who controls gas prices..(actually oil prices).. the government has no hand in it..sorry to take your argument away from you. But many people having no knowledge of how these things are controlled, will have the same conception as you do.. but forget it.. doesn't work that way.

I'm not sure how much manipulation there is in this since the spot price of crude is an international phenomenon. But I don't doubt that Dumbya WOULD pull all the levers that he COULD pull to lessen an electoral disaster from his point of view.

Yes b/c some of these fools are like..oh so shouldnt bush like get the credit when gas prices are falling..and then you say know he is the reason..yah so like shouldnt you like vote him then...no because he is manipulating you..yah but he saved me like 3 dollars this week and thats like really important and besides how could he control gas prices, that doesnt make sense i dont understand...******* conservatives.

I don't think that is the reason the prices are diving, because I think it has more to do with the summit of OPEC, and their fear of new energy sources taking their cash cow and killing it. They know that necessity is the mother of invention!
