the kind of water that runs in the basin at your home is ok it must be only 2 day old. there is some gass in water that fishes do not like.

room-tempature and put cleaning tank snails in there with some foliage didn,t where you got the fish didn,t they tell you that change water every-day if you have more than one fish test it with your hand so it feels cool to your touch

it should be room temperature. so if you have a waterbottle that has been sitting around, not in the fridge, that should be good for your fish.
