Now I know dogs and cats get hiccups but do fish get them?

Funny as the question is -- they do and they don't. Because air (gas) is forced in, and hiccup'd or burped out a deep-water fish cannot get hiccups (unless they go to the surface for air, like fresh-water fish). Smaller fresh water fish, like aquarium fish that you can see anyday can hiccup 1x -- but usually don't require to be shocked or drink a glass of water upside-down to get rid of them. No...

I'm not sure why, but I do know that fish don't get hiccups. I always wondered about it myself, until one day I looked it up. I thought it was pretty weird that they don't get them. Good Luck!!! Hope I answered your question!

I have Tiger Muskies who from time to time do something that looks like a hiccup (either that or they are regergitating part of something they ate earlier).

They have no lungs or diaphragm making hiccups/sneezing impossible
