I was doing a chemistry experiment with silver nitrate and it got all over my hands and stained them. How can I get it off?

Household ammonia will help a little bit but mostly it will have to wear off.

Silver nitrate comes apart in your skin. The black stain is actually elemental silver that has been impregnated in the upper part of your skin. It will be replaced in time. Sorry, I don't know of a quick cure.

It has to wear off. Don't do too many AgNO3 experiments as it can get down below the dermis. If that happens it's like a tattoo. Alternatively wear rubber gloves.
