No there is no truth to that. Blunt trauma CAN cause miscarriage because it dislodges the placenta, but too-tight pants will just make you uncomfortable.

The uterus during pregnancy becomes the strongest and largest muscle in the body. The baby is cushioned in amniotic fluid. There's no way it can be hurt. In fact, the uterus will more than likely push up against other organs such as your intestines and bladder, causing you to have to go to the bathroom a lot or feel painful gas. Your body is designed to protect the baby.

No it isnt' true. The truth is when you are pregnant you get so uncomfortable wearing anything that is too tight even elastic drives you crazy. You really dont' want anything touching your stomach area. And if you are truly pregnant you won't be able to wear your normal clothes much past the 5 1/2 month mark for your first preg and 4 month mark for the second so on forth pregs.

i am pretty sure it is ok to where tight jeans. i have been pregnant and it didnt affect my baby. it is more comfortable to get maternity pants because they support your stomach. so no you cant lose your unborn child it is just uncomfortable.

I doubt this would happen but why would you wear tight clothes when you are pregnant? Anyone who has had a baby knows that once your belly gets big, then you want bigger comfortable pants because you are so miserable anyway why make it worse!

No. The baby is well padded in there. Tell the scaremonger to stuff it. You're gonna want to buy larger pants for your own comfort. I know of no statistics on "miscarriage caused by tight pants".

I heard that you shouldn't sweep, or mop, or vacuum when youre pregnant or the cord will wrap around the babies throat.
I believe it.
I also heard that if your baby has a cord wrapped around its throat, it is because you worked to hard when you were pregnant, take it easy and wear comfy clothes, why stress out...let someone else worry about it for a while, tell your friend.

no, that is totally untrue. Also don't believe that if you raise your arms above your head you'll choke the baby, it's another old wives tale. Just get comfortable, girl, and put on some elastic waist pants! you'll thank yourself for it

Doubtful. I fit into my jeans into my 5th month with my first pregnancy. Eventually you will not be comfortable as the clothes get tighter and tighter and you will bite the bullet and get some maternity clothes.

Doubtful. The babies are so protected in the womb, the most it would do is cause the expecting mother to be uncomfortable.
