If you have Windows XP, it's built in. It's called Remote Desktop and is located in Start, Programs, Accessories, Communications.

True, if XP, remote desktop.
HOWEVER
If Mac OSX, I think you can do it somehow with iChat (don't know how though, just saw my friend do it...)

i think you're referring to net meeting. that is when you have to dial the number/ip address of the other person. when you're connected to him, he will have control on your desktop.
