Scorpios and Taurans have an unusual attraction to each other. Interestingly, they are opposites in astrology, which is a GOOD thing (a little reverse in astrology). I think that this combo works best when the male is Scorpio though and the female in Taurus. The other way can have some complications, especially if the Scorpio is not developed as a person.
Scorpio is a water sign and water is usually better off with other water signs (Pisces, Cancer) or earth signs (Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo). Since the placement of the other planets in the chart (Mars, Venus, Moon, etc.) really impact a person, the sun sign is only a starting point...but a good starting point.
One interesting trend that I've noticed is that many Scorpios and Aries get together. Aries is a fire sign and you can just imagine how water and fire can impact each other over time...way too different. However, I think that there is a raw intensity that brings the two together initially.
Some people give Scorpios a bad rap because they are the sign associated with darkness. Yes, they may have some intense areas that they have to personally develop in (all signs do though), but Scorpios are very feeling people with huge potential.

I am an Astrologer and I would like to point out that this whole business of Sun Sign compatibility is a myth propagated by Sun Sign Astrologers. I know of 'compatible' Sun Signs who can't live in the same space and, equally, people with 'non-compatible' Signs who get along wonderfully.
It simply isn't possible to ascertain how two people will interact through Sun Signs alone. The only method is to compare the charts of both parties looking for links between all the planets and angles as well as other pointers, such as any connection between the ascendants. By doing this it then becomes possible to judge not only how compatible they will be but also to what degree. Take it from me - Sun Sign Astrology is nonsense. Best would be a passive sign like Cancer who usually likes the jealousy of a Scorpio so they feel secure. Worst would be a sign that typically has a big ego like Leo but anything can work as long as the two people themselves get along.

everyone is the best and everyone is the worst...us scorpios are a tough breed. however, i have heard that scorpios and scorpios are very bad.....we dont like to share our scorpio-ness. ha i just like saying the word scorpio. it makes us sound tougher!
