i do, because it takes away vital face-to-face contact that teaches all humans how to interact. we also lose a lot of important social cues when we're simply typing on a screen. i am a firm believer that the internet and video games are contributing to the rise of ADHD in children (not to mention the lack of parenting with children who over-use these devices).

The answer is YES! Prior to the net social interaction was more on a personal and physical level. The net boths adds the ability to interact with others as well as the ability to cause a withdrawal from off line social activity.Even to the point of addiction where one is unable to control on line time and spends more time then is healthy on the net while day to day living degrades. However with common sense a balanced compromise can be achieved. The net offers unlimited possibilities but misuse can be harmful

I believe that people are more social with the internet. Whether that's good or bad I don't know. However, one draw back I think is that some people don't know how to relate to others face to face because they have been protecting themselves through a computer screen.
