I'm having trouble understanding why it's cool to be Gay nowadays.
Maybe it's our sense of style or the way we carry ourselves, but I'm thinking maybe it's because we're living a fantasy that every "straight" person has.
I'm sure you straight people have plenty of things about yourselves to consider cool, or maybe not.
Discuss.

i think that most of the world and society has come to accept the fact that there are gay people. so i think that gays have decided since its acceptable to be gay, that they can "come out"
so i don't think its just that people think its cool to be gay, i think the gay people have decided to "come out"

IT's not really cool 2 b GAY! Who told you that? It's not really cool 2 be gay cuz havin a boy by your side and you being a boy is so like boring cuz you understand eachother .But when there is a girl and a boy then you don't have the same things in common which makes it more interesting!

B/C this is what our society has turned into...it's a sad exscuse for people to get away from their hurt and bitterness and confusion w/the world around them...also it's a way to get attention!! Like when you ask this question, and then point out (however subtle you tried) to make sure it's know that you yourself are gay.....it's all society and stuff---good luck to you and God Bless!!

It's not any cooler than just being yourself.
Who you are as an individual is what matters most.
Sexual orientation is but one aspect of a complete
person.
Cool people come in all shapes and sizes.

Seems like if it was so cool to be Gay, most guys wouldn't say that they are straight-acting or straight-looking.
By that, I don't mean we *should* hate ourselves, but we *do*.

gay people are nice usually i am friends with gay people and every one at school likes them i dont know why they used to hate them and now they are our best friends it weird but atleast everyone gets along now and gay guys are usually cute.i get along with gay guys better than straight guys

Gays face extreme amounts of prejudice from the bigots of our world, and so it seems nearly impossible for one to conclude that being gay is cool.

i dont think it is. maybe the gays you know are just really comfy with themselves and are are accepted by those around them.
