There are no laws that dealt specifically with leaving children alone at night or overnight. It doesn't matter whether it was day or night or overnight, the law of child neglect remains applicable if you abandon or neglect your child without care for a long period of time thus causing suffering to the child.

There are laws, and only by checking with your local authorties can you be sure of what the laws say. Think of this: if there was to be any kind of emergency, such as a fire, injury to one of your kids or break-in by a burglar.... when the police discover these 3 kids overnight un-attended, you would certainly be in danger of having them taken from you by the county and put into foster care, likely in 3 different foster homes, while you try to work on a case plan that would allow your family to be re-united, which could take years.
Don't risk it.

I'm not sure on the laws but there are definately ethical issues. I couldn't imagine any decent mother being willing to leave children of that age on their own all night.
How would you feel if something happened like a fire? I wouldn't want a 15 yr old to have responsability for keeping everyone safe.

If you are the mom... and these are your children... are you crazy for even thinking this? Yes, there are laws about this... don't know what state you live in, so you'll have to call your local police department and ask them. Even so... do you really think it's wise to do it? The 15 year old can't be expected to watch over the other two... each one will create their own mischief.

How old are the children? I believe the laws differ from state to state. Honestly, a simple 3-minute phone call to your local Sheriff's of Police office will tell you beyond a doubt!

You are not allowed to leave any person in a house under the age of 16 without a person over the age of 16 present. It is considered neglect and comes under the heading of Child abuse, as they are not old enough to consent for medical treatment if something happens to them.

yes but you can chain them to the sink fior safety..
actually, i believe that at 16 one is old enough to babysit, especially if its their younger siblings, and th eresponsible adult has made provisions should distaster arise or illness befall said youngster..in effect give em your neighbour or friends phone number...
only you know your kids, are they responsible, or irresponsible.. will they park the ferrari in the pool, or do their homework and be ready for school... trust cuts both ways.. theyll love it, and youll get to do what you want, safe in the knowledge that the kids are at the end of a phone..and should you feel its neccesary, phone the neighbour to check on em.. well, they might run out of lager..getting served at the offy is akward, so best if a responsible adult goes... im joking of course, if youre happy to leave them, do so. you have the best qualifications in the world, youre their mum, and you know your kids like no one else...

there isn't any regulation simply by fact is incorrect.... youre giving your baby too lots responsability..If some thing is going incorrect even an twist of destiny this would left your 13 year outdated baby with a phsycological scar for lifestyles .......you're putting in possibility 2 toddlers leaving them on my own at domicile .a baby thinks like a baby whether is or seems quite clever for his or her age .....you will desire to study to think of and act greater responsable for his or her behalf....in case you have been.... you will never think of approximately asking this egocentric question.Get a sitter.
