i'd go to düsseldorf, and because köln is close to düsseldorf you can go there as well, if you're bored there, go to aachen, and if you want to do expensive shopping go to maastricht, in the netherlands, at 30 minutes from aachen.

That depends on where you will be traveling in Germany. I'm in Heidelberg and I've found (as with HD) that most towns have a main street called the Hauptstrasse. It's usually a street that has nothing but stores and restaurants (but look closely--some of the best stores are on the side streets) and you can only walk down it. Good luck in Germany--I love it here.

In Berlin there is a street bigger and better than all the other streets and it is known as: Ku Damm. It is the biggest shopping street in Berlin. Very big and flashy. There is also a very famous mall called KaDeWe. Kaufhaus des Westens. Its cool too. I recommend Ku Damm. I go there on weekends to shop for EVERYTHING!

The answers are all right, checked out Hamburg last year, everything is there and on Euro Dollar, so be prepared to pay as much there as in the States. I found it more reasonable in Canada.
