I did like The Apostle with Robert Duvall, but I didn't like the other one mentioned. Since Robert Duvall is mentioned, Lonesome Dove and Open Range were very good westerns.
A popular movie was The Inside Man with Denzel Washington, I liked it because it was filled with suspense.
Two for the Money with Al Pacino and Matthew McConaughey was really good, kind of a sleeper. A Time to Kill was also a great movie, alot of drama and good story.

Check out "To End All Wars" it stars Keifer Sutherland and it is about a group of allied POW's in Saipan during WW2. It is very realistic, showing the mistreatment of the prisoners but also the reluctance of the guards to treat them in that manner. Very strong performances and serious content. Excellent movie!

Spinal Tap. Great spoof on what it's like to travel on the road with a rock band. Hilarious at times, and fun whether you're by yourself or with a group of friends! I've seen it numerous times, and still find myself watching it again and again when it's on tv!!

I just watched Failure to Launch last night, it was pretty good. It's a romantic comedy. It has Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew McConaughey in it. It's about grown men that still live with their parents, that's all I can tell you because I don't want to ruin it! Hope you like it ; )
