Can we define our voice as a form of energy? This can be transmitted electronically through phone wires and satellite and recontructed so we can hear people as if they were right next to us. Why can we not do this with the bodies of living things, ie somehow electronically send people over distances?

--I never had a physics class so please bear with me on this.

Simple answer.

Data loss.

When you transfer a voice over the wires (Analog -> digital -> Analog) you loose some data in each conversion. For a voice message normally the data loss is either not noticed, or can be compisated for.

If you were to
1) find a way to convert your atomic structure to energy then to data transmit the data, and convert it back into matter, you'd need a much higher accuracy of data transmission, and also speed of data transfer.

Data to be transfered would include the location & direction & speed of each electron, nutron, protron, the spin & quantom state for every atom in your body.

For just a 1" cube of led your taliking about 125 septillions atoms
so your talking about more data storage then we have in the all the worlds computers for just 1" cubic inch of led let alone a full grown adult.

Voice, or any other sound for that matter, is not energy but a wave, it's the vibration of the air. A microphone converts these vibrations into an electrical signal.

As a human body is not the vibration of the air, or any other kind of wave, what you say seems imposible.

To transport a person, we would have to break down their molecules, move them somehow...I suppose through a vacuum or something and then successfully reassemble them completely. Voice is only a vibration...there is no actual matter to voice. Energy can be transferred easily...it's happening constantly...however, mass cannot be converted to energy...at least not without some major power...

Beam me up Scottie!!! I don't think it will ever be possible.. too risky... we might not come out the same on the other side... Plus, think of all the research & testing involved in creating the technology to come up with something like this. Too many lives would be lost & all the tree huggers would throw a fit if they tried to test it on animals.Oh well... it's a cool thought though :)

it can be done .... for a start check einstien theory.

check any religous book for a study....

ask the expert of science and expert of religon... you can do more than that.
